Clothes
All-black outfits might blend into photos, especially in black and white. Try mixing in some lighter colours or fun patterns for a standout look.

Other than that, you can wear whatever you like. Feel free to try different outfits. The more, the better.
You can be naked if you want to — we don't have CCTV in the studio, and no one will enter during your session.
We don’t look at your photos without approval (though you must know we technically can).

Shoes
Read the following question.

We don’t allow street shoes in the studio as they can ruin your photos (and our background).
We recommend being barefoot or in socks.
You can also take spare shoes with you, but please wash the soles thoroughly at home and seal them with paper tape.
If you don't have paper tape at home, we can give you one at the studio, but please arrive at least 10 minutes before your shoot.

One full session is 40 minutes; on average, that’s enough to try 3-4 outfits. If you want to try more, we’d advise you to book a second slot.

15-minute sessions will suit 1 outfit (or 2 if you are very fast and know exactly how you want to pose).

You can bring whatever prep and whoever you need (artist, stylist, photographer, journalist, stage manager...) as long as that doesn't damage the studio.

Sure, but we have a few conditions to protect our sensitive backgrounds:

• Please ensure your pet is calm and relaxed. A long walk before the shoot usually helps.
• Trim your pet’s claws and clean their paws. You can wash their paws at home and use wet wipes before entering the shooting area (please, bring wipes with you). We offer white and black dog socks, although they may not fit all sizes.

There will be an additional charge of £10, as extra cleaning is required afterwards to prevent allergies for other clients.

We also suggest you bring some treats and train your pet in advance — especially teach them how to sit on chairs, these photos turn out adorable :)

Black and white is straightforward and timeless, and almost every photo looks brilliant. It keeps things easy but still captures all the fab moments.

Colour is complicated. Some prefer cooler tones, others want them warmer, greener, or bluer...
We don’t manually edit colours, so we can’t guarantee perfection. But you’ll still get amazing photos using our professional camera in a relaxed studio environment where you control every shot!

We offer coloured photos as an add-on, and we try to make colours as close to natural as possible.

Technically, we have access to your photos, but the system is designed in a way that ensures privacy: your photos are processed and sent to you through an algorithm with no human eyes involved.

We will delete/erase/remove (todo: select one verb) your pictures automatically after 1 week, starting the day after the photo shoot. (todo is a joke)

You can ask the administrator to show you results whenever you want, but we suggest not doing so.
Photos you receive will be very close to what you see in the mirror, so don’t waste time verifying the result — try more poses instead!

You can reschedule or cancel the appointment up to 20 hours before the session.

Just find our email from scheduling@acuityscheduling.com (a quick search for youphoto.co.uk in your emails should do the trick), click "Reschedule" or "Cancel", and follow the instructions.

In case of cancellation, we will issue a refund, which should reach your bank account within 10 business days, though it’s usually faster.

Pricing for 1 hour will be the same as for a 60-minute shoot. For 2+ hours, you will get a discount of 10%.

Please be aware that our studio is on the second floor, accessible via two staircases.

We can help you lift heavy things like buggies, strollers or suitcases — we are used to it; just let us know you need help when you are calling with the intercom.
You can also leave the buggy or stroller at the entrance or on the first-floor landing.

On average, our clients take about 350 photos per 40-minute session (with a top score of 2043).
We will email you all of them with a link. You will have one week to download them.

Up to 2% of all photos might appear dark — that is a rare flashlight glitch.

We aim to send all photos to your email within 30 minutes after the end of the session.

— You take many photos — no judgment here; we'll just need more time to process them!
— You ordered coloured photos as well, which will take twice as long to process.
— You ordered raw photos, which will take a few hours to upload.

Since opening in March 2024, we have never missed sending photos within the same day they were taken.

Raw photos are the source photos taken by a camera before being processed. You'd need professional software like CaptureOne, Lightroom or Photoshop to edit them.
