Don't forget to look between the arrows!
Start with a stool
Starting on a stool might make it easier. You won't have to worry as much about your arms and legs.
The comfort pose
Put the stool with its back. Lean on it and relax.
The thinker
Gather your legs and arms. Lean on your knees.
At the bar
Place one leg on the stool bar and the other on the floor. Keep your back straight.
The thinker #2
Place the leg closer to the background on the stool and put an elbow on it.
... and don't forget to look between the arrows!
Try standing
Once you feel comfortable, try taking a few full-body pictures.
Make sure you stand in the middle of the photo zone.
Hands in pockets
Relax your shoulders and slightly bend one knee.
Here I am
One leg in front. The same hand on your waist, another – relaxed. Move your thighs to the side.
Look at you
Step one leg slightly forward. Lean forward a little. Bend one hand to support the other.
Not caring much
One leg is bend, one hand is holding the other's elbow. Relax.
... and don't forget to look between the arrows!
On the floor
Sitting on the floor might be as comfortable as sitting on a stool.
The most important thing is
looking between the arrows
.
The thinker #3
Bend a knee and put an elbow on it, as if listening to something.
Looking at the camera
Try to see your face between the arrows. It's perfect for capturing you just the way you see yourself.
After a fall
Place both hands slightly behind your back and lean on them.
Vogue-ish
Try to squat elegantly, lifting your heels off the ground.
... and don't forget to look between the arrows!
Use props
Props can help you to come up with more poses and ideas. You don't have to use all of them.
Here are some examples.
In a box
Try to fit your whole body into the frame.
Highlight
"Crop" something that you specially like about yourself.
Portrait
